ESP32 WiFi Microcontroller Workshop
NodeMCU ESP32 kit is the most powerful microcontroller kit costing only $5 each. It has a WiFi radio integrated. We will demonstrate how it can be programmed interactively for diverse applications. In this workshop, we will demonstrate:Use Forth interpreter to turn on and off LEDs, and motors.Write and compile application programs in Forth.Program it to generate tones and music.Use browsers to control it through WiFi network.Build embedded applications.Program and run a robotic car AIR (AI robot).
Audience: Recommended for Adults
Cost: The registration fee for this workshop covers the cost of materials and instruction. You get to keep and take home what you make.
Time: 1.5 hours
Workshop Instructor: Chen-Hanson Ting
Dr. Chen-Hanson Ting was a chemist by training and am embedded system programmer by inclination. He had used Forth language to develop many automated instruments and Forth microprocessors. He was attracted to ESP8266 and ESP32 by their build-in WiFi capability, and the low costs. He loves to share his experience in these powerful microcontroller kits.
