Summer camp and playing sports is something that many families take for granted, as often times, no such programs exist for kids with autism. That's why we've created our own sports camp and are inviting local special needs families to attend!
Join us for a day of FREE family fun at the Autism Sports Academy! This 1-day program is co-hosted by Centria Autism and Detroit PAL (Police Athletic League). Activities include:
Sports stations to teach the basics of soccer, football, kickball, tee ball, and more
Quiet Area with games and activities
Family Resources & Information table

About Autism Sports Academy:
Founded in 2017, the Autism Sports Academy is a collaborative effort between Centria Autism and Detroit PAL. The program is designed to give children with autism the opportunity to learn different sports in a social and accepting environment.
Please Note: To keep this event as accessible as possible, the Autism Sports Academy is being hosted in a public space, and is not a private event. All attendees will be asked to sign a Media Release Form upon arrival, acknowledging that their image may appear in Centria Healthcare publications or media/news outlets.
