Their programs are based on the songs and songs of Péter Egri's singer-guitarist. After a single released in Japan , their first album, Hot'n Wild Rockabilly Cuts , was released in 2001 , followed by Dig That Rock in 2003 ! and in 2006 , Jungle Fever containing his own compositions. All three albums were published by foreign publishers. In 2010 , a live and wild concert album was released.
After their international and domestic successes, the time has come in 2012, and their first Hungarian-language publication at Grund Records is released. Their second album in Hungarian was released by Universal Music in 2014, with Hello-Hello. Their third Hungarian album was released under the supervision of Star People Productions in June 2016 with the title "Negro of Espresso". In the summer of 2017, they released another album in English, Wild 50's Night Part 1, 2.
They faithfully bring the manuscripts of the age, their style is colorful, rockabilly and rock and roll are accompanied by the jungle effect of the garage and the pulsation of the modern big city. Since their establishment, more than 1,800 concerts have been performed at home and abroad, including major performances such as the Private Buddy Holly Story featured at the Palace of Arts in January 2009. In 2010 they were successful in London , New York , Milan and Paris .
In addition to their musical works, they also wrote film music for the Panic , directed by American Townies and Attila Till . The orchestra played a film role in Krisztina Goda's Comedy, Sex and Nothing . The singer-guitarist Péter Egri plays the role of Brenner, the orgasm in Gergely Fonyó's Made in Hungária .
In 2014 , the ensemble was included in the Third Mid- Final of the Dal 2014 Eurovision Song Contest .
In the summer of 2017, Péter Egri, beside the Mystery Gang, took a co-project, Memphis Moon'55. The classic rockabilly song trio follows the earliest style of rockabilly, there is no drum, the rhythm is given by the guitar and the double bass. Members are Peter Egri (guitar and vocals), Balázs Bognár (guitar) and Brazilian Allisson Guimarães Santos (double bass).
In the autumn of 2017, Zoltán Paszinger left the band after nearly twenty years, replacing Allisson Guimarães Santos. The band held its 20th anniversary jubilee on April 28, 2018, on the A38 Ship . Here introduced Zoltán Németh, the new double bassist of the band (Magic Cats Rockabilly Trio, Ed Philips and the Memphis Patrol ), as well as the founder member of the band Tamás Csikány (Fácán).
In early October 2018 László Tamási drummer left the band. The Mystery Gang band currently has no drummer.
EDDIE CLENDENING and the BLUE RIBBON BOYS:
“Eddie Clendening brings with him over two decades of experience on the stage. Having appeared with early ROCK & ROLL greats like Scotty Moore, James Burton, Pat Cupp, Hayden Thompson, Billy Lee Riley, Earl Palmer, Dale Hawkins, Gene Summers, Jimmy Lee Fautheree, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and scores of others. Contemporary musicians are also taking notice of this explosive and handsome young front man for not only his vocals, but also his work on the electric guitar.
Eddie has toured extensively and successfully with his own backing group “The Blue Ribbon Boys” in not only the U.S. but Europe, Asia, Australia, and elsewhere. He has also worked with other well known groups such as Deke Dickerson’s Ecco-Fonics, Big Sandy, The Hi-Qs, Lloyd Tripp... the list goes on and on. He has been invited to perform at dozens of international music festivals, The Rockabilly Rave, Viva Las Vegas, Hemsby, Le Blues Autour du Zinc Rockabilly and so on… not only with his own combo but also as the vocalist for the reunion of “Go Cat Go”, one the largest selling roots ROCK & ROLL groups of the 90’s who tragically lost their singer in 1993.
He has appeared on several ad campaigns for fashion brands like W.H. Ranch Dungarees, J.S. Sloan, and Ralph Lauren, coast to coast, prime time, and regional television programs such as, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The View, Today Show and more. He has also been a regular voice on various satellite/AM/FM/internet radio programs.
Eddie originated the role of, and was featured as Elvis Presley in the hit Broadway musical “The Million Dollar Quartet”, where he performed 8 shows a week to packed houses racking up over 2200 performances! He’s continued to be seen on stage in plays and tribute shows to many of the greats, Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins to name a few. And he continues to be in demand wherever fans of ROCK & ROLL gather.
It seems Eddie is also beginning to get some much deserved acclaim, thanks to the release of his albums "Eddie Clendening Is... Walkin' And Cryin’”, “Eddie Clendening Is... Knockin’ At Your Heart”, and “Eddie Clendening Is… The Rage Of The Teen-Age!”, as well as several singles and compilation appearances.
He, along with The Blue Ribbon Boys continue to work hard spreading the gospel of genuine American ROCK & ROLL far and wide to anybody willing to listen.”
JOHNNY 7 and the BLACK CRABS:
Johnny 7 and the Black Crabs is a rock'n'roll trio from Seattle. Formed as a backing band for Rockabilly legend Wanda Jackson, The Black Crabs only intended to be together for a short time. But with the success of touring with Wanda and Johnny's deep love of wild 50s rock'n'roll, rockabilly, and vintage jazz, The Black Crabs just couldn't stop.
Drawing heavily from their background in Ameripolitan Music- Rockabilly, Honky-Tonk, and Hillbilly Swing, the trio performs upbeat music full of harmonies, quirky turns, and danceable beats. While they may slip in an obscure cover with an authentic feel, they also mix in rich doses of Garage, Surf and Western Swing to their originals. Writing the songs, crooning and handling guitar and steel duties, Johnny 7 is the heart and soul of The Black Crabs.
Mike Daugherty brings energy and his excitement of vintage music to the trio with his unique style. Having played everything from Dixieland, Swing, Jazz to Rock'n'Roll and Punk Rock, Mike is the right man for the job!
Wesley Amundsen may be the quiet one, but don't let that fool you - he is a monster on the bass. Slapping the strings from anywhere between solid percision to reckless abandon, he always holds down the bottom end of the Black Crabs sound.
Shake It Loose - Johnny7 and the Black Crabs' third full-length release droppped in November 2017, featuring ten new songs all written by Johnny. The Black Crabs released their first full-length album, The Black Crabs Blast Off!, at the 2005 Shake the Shack Rockabilly Ball. 13 Times came out hot after a European Tour that included The Summer Jamboree in Italy in 2008. The band plays over a hundred gigs a year and can be easily found throughout the Northwest or on tour. 2019 has new recording are in the works, deep in the dungeons of Cleopatra Studios. Keep your ears open! Catch them soon at Viva Las Vegas in April.
