Each School Support Network Meeting in Morris County will begin with coffee and networking followed by a spotlight school, table talks and then a professional development session. This month's session is described below.
Professional Development Topic:Leading a School of Social-Emotional Competence and Character: Everyone's Job
The presentation will focus on the leadership functions required for successfully becoming a school that builds students' social-emotional skills and character. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of teams/task forces/committees and how sustained leadership does not only come from the formal leaders, but from all members AND from the students.
