The National Weather Service in Portland and Marion County Emergency Management, in conjunction with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Teams, welcomes volunteers with an interest in the weather to attend one of our upcoming training classes this spring. On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, we will be teaching a free weather spotter training class in Salem, Oregon from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. The class is free and will be in the Willamette Room at the Marion County Public Works Building located at 5155 Silverton Road NE in Salem, Oregon.
Anyone that wants to become a volunteer weather spotter or those who are already weather spotters and want refresher training are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
