Come join the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom - San Diego for our third annual Interfaith Iftar.
Please join us for a special sunset program, complete with amazing foods, learning opportunities, and meaningful conversations. We hope to continue to share our traditions, our stories, and ourselves with each other.
Iftar is the evening meal that Muslims eat during the month of Ramadan when we fast from sunrise until sunset. In this holy month, we focus on our spirituality and believe that good deeds are multiplied in this time. The time leading up to sunset is an especially important time for us as we prepare our iftar together as a family, reflect on the day, and make dua (supplication) that our fasts are accepted. We look forward to celebrating this special time together.
We welcome Jewish and Muslim women and children, as well as our (female) friends, families, and allies. In order to ensure that we have a balanced number of Jewish and Muslim participants, we have created different categories of tickets. Please purchase the ticket that is right for you.
