Save the Date! - Celebrate Coastal Cleanup Day at Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary on September 21, 2019.
Why participate in this? Trash harms the health of the ocean and its marine life. We have a lot of trash that wash up on our shore, this can choke or entangle marine life and birds.
Volunteers that participate in this event will be acting "citizen scientists”, tallying the items they find on data cards. This information will be used to identify the sources of marine debris, examine trends in debris items, and increase awareness about the threats of marine debris.
Meeting location: Meet at Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary’s Lyford House, a big Victorian yellow house visible from the parking lot (Address: 376 Greenwood Beach Road, Tiburon CA). Park in the gravel lots facing the Bay. Exit your vehicle, turn towards the west (facing the bay/big Victorian house), walk through the iron gate, and head down the hill to the Lyford house. We will be waiting for you there!
